Role summary
A 10–12 week summer internship in the Chemical Biology department focused on advancing cellular biology research through modern experimental techniques. Interns will gain hands-on experience with protein detection methods and proximity labeling while collaborating with experienced scientists on drug discovery projects.

- Currently pursuing BS/BA, MS, or PhD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemical biology, or related field
- Completed at least two years of studies toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027
- Available full-time for approximately 10–12 weeks from late May through August 2027
- Demonstrated interest and experience in research relevant to biology or drug discovery
- Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques (preferred)
- Familiarity with protein analysis methods such as Western Blotting or ELISA (preferred)
- Experience with molecular biology techniques for studying protein–protein interactions (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Apply proximity labeling techniques to investigate protein interactions in human cell-based systems
- Design and execute proof-of-concept studies to evaluate platforms for protein identification and quantification
- Analyze experimental data and present findings to team members and stakeholders
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to experimental strategy development and troubleshooting
