Role summary
Amgen seeks an undergraduate intern for a summer 2027 data science role within its Technology & Medical Organizations. The intern will execute data analysis and modeling projects, test statistical methods, and develop solutions to extract insights from large data volumes for business objectives.
What they're looking for
- Completion of at least one year of college coursework prior to internship start
- Currently enrolled full-time in accredited bachelor's degree program with minimum 3.0 GPA
- 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States
- Proficiency in at least one coding language: Python, Java, Scala, or SQL
- Degree concentration in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or related field
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and project management skills
What you'll be doing
- Execute and analyze data analysis and modeling projects from design through data processing
- Test new statistical methods, software, and data sources to improve quantitative solutions
- Develop approaches enabling scientists to utilize data from multiple sources
- Create automated capabilities to convert unstructured data into structured, analyzable content
Compensation$28.87 per hour
