Role summary
Sartorius seeks a Toolmaker for its Tool Room in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire to maintain and repair injection mould tooling and operate CNC machinery. The role supports production operations on a rotating shift pattern and requires hands-on experience in tool room environments with strong machining capabilities.
What they're looking for
- Apprenticeship or vocational qualification in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience in tool room, mould shop, or manufacturing workshop environment
- Experience maintaining and repairing injection mould tooling including hardened steel tools
- Strong machining experience with ability to achieve high-tolerance work
- CNC machining experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work with 3D modelling software
- Right to work in the UK
What you'll be doing
- Maintain, repair and modify injection mould tooling to support manufacturing operations
- Set up and operate CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Grinders and other tool room machinery safely
- Inspect tooling and components using measuring equipment to ensure specification compliance
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on tools, jigs and fixtures
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and IVD regulations
