Role summary
Integrated DNA Technologies seeks an Equipment Services Technician to maintain and repair custom automated laboratory equipment supporting manufacturing operations in San Diego. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.

- High school diploma or GED
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing manufacturing, production, or automated equipment
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience with electrical systems, control panels, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment (preferred)
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on automated laboratory or manufacturing equipment (preferred)
What you'll be doing
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on custom automated laboratory equipment to maximize reliability
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidics, optical, and PLC systems
- Coordinate maintenance activities with manufacturing teams to minimize production interruptions
- Install, calibrate, test, and modify equipment using technical documentation and engineering drawings
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment data in management systems
Compensation$23-$27/hr; eligible for bonus/incentive pay
