Role summary
IQVIA seeks a Technical Manager in Dar es Salaam to provide veterinary and diagnostic technical expertise across Tanzania and the North, West, East Africa region. The role focuses on ruminants and poultry, involving demand generation, product training, and stakeholder support on a limited duration contract.
What they're looking for
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or BVSc degree, registered to practise in Tanzania
- Minimum 5 years' experience in veterinary or animal health technical roles
- At least 2 years in commercial environment collaborating with Sales and Marketing
- Proven experience delivering technical and product training programmes
- Strong understanding of local production systems and diagnostic testing experience preferred
- Fluent English (written and spoken); high computer literacy in Office applications
- Valid Tanzania driver's license and passport; willingness to travel up to 50% domestically
What you'll be doing
- Deliver technical support and consultation for veterinary and diagnostic activities across assigned market
- Conduct product training for distributors and key accounts; manage training clinics and train-the-trainer programmes
- Drive demand-generation initiatives and provide technical input to portfolio and species-specific strategy development
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and support diagnostic infrastructure development
- Support pharmacovigilance reporting and coordinate with veterinarians, authorities, and stakeholder organisations
