12+ years mobile software development experience with BA/BS in Computer Science, or 8+ years with MS degree
At least 3 years operating at Senior or Staff level
Deep expertise in Kotlin, Android Jetpack, Hilt, Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose
Production experience architecting reliable long-running applications including background execution and battery optimization
Production experience with Bluetooth Low Energy on Android
Strong knowledge of REST, GraphQL, MQTT, or comparable pub/sub messaging protocols
Demonstrated technical leadership including architecture design, documentation, mentorship, and cross-team influence

What you'll be doing

Lead technical ownership and architecture of the Gateway Android app platform
Drive end-to-end mobile projects from scope definition through production deployment
Conduct technical design discussions and code reviews across the mobile team
Mentor engineers and establish durable engineering practices for safety-critical applications
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions
