Role summary
Senior Specialist in Safety and Environment responsible for leading a comprehensive ergonomics program across multiple manufacturing and research sites. Reports to Associate Director and serves as subject matter expert on ergonomics risk assessment, program development, and injury prevention initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years applied professional experience leading workplace ergonomics programs in manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial settings
- Proficiency with ergonomic risk assessment tools including Humantech software system
- Strong knowledge of OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping requirements
- Project management and cross-functional leadership skills with strong stakeholder engagement ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
What you'll be doing
- Maintain and drive continuous improvement to site ergonomics program, procedures, and systems in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Lead site Ergonomics Core Team focused on musculoskeletal disorder risk reduction and injury prevention
- Conduct ergonomic risk assessments for manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and office tasks using established methodologies
- Develop and track ergonomic risk reduction projects and report on program performance indicators
- Investigate ergonomic incidents and injuries to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
