Role summary
Avantor seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead medium- to large-scale engineering projects and provide technical expertise across complex assignments. The role involves managing project delivery from concept through completion while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
- 5–8+ years of engineering and project management experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments
- Demonstrated success managing engineering projects from conception through completion
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- PE license, EIT certification, or PMP certification preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in regulated manufacturing
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate and execute engineering projects and major phases while managing schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
- Perform engineering calculations including load analyses, energy balances, and process evaluations as required
- Develop and maintain P&IDs, site layouts, and equipment designs using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to support objectives
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Project Engineers and support teams throughout project lifecycle
