Role summary
Baxter seeks a Senior OPEX Engineer in Marion, North Carolina to lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives at the manufacturing site. The role focuses on deploying the Baxter Growth & Performance System, driving performance improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people metrics through Lean methodologies and data-driven analysis.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred)
- Experience leading Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, VSM, TLA, OEE improvement, and structured problem solving
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements
- Cross-functional leadership and project management skills
What you'll be doing
- Lead and support deployment of GPS across manufacturing and support functions
- Facilitate and coach teams in Lean, Kaizen, LDMS, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Design and improve manufacturing processes using TLA, VSM, and data-driven analysis
- Coach teams in structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and capability development
- Support development and governance of operational KPIs, OEE, and productivity measurement systems
