Role summary
Senior Maintenance Technician position at Amgen's Rhode Island manufacturing facility responsible for operating utility systems and performing maintenance activities on rotating 12-hour day shifts. Role focuses on safe, efficient execution of maintenance work per established procedures.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma/GED plus 2 years maintenance or military experience, or Associate's degree plus 6 months related experience
- 5+ years combined experience with utility, HVAC, refrigeration, and clean/sanitary utility systems
- 3+ years knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems maintenance
- Experience with cGMP regulated environments and Maximo maintenance management system
- Knowledge of rigging, welding, plumbing, pipefitting, and building automation systems
- Ability to interpret P&IDs and strong computer skills
- Effective communication and ability to work with minimal direction
What you'll be doing
- Operate utility systems and perform maintenance activities safely throughout the site
- Complete maintenance work per applicable procedures and document in computerized system
- Execute maintenance activities efficiently on first attempt with minimal rework
- Report observed issues and opportunities in timely manner
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed
