Role summary
Senior Lab & Clean Utilities Technician role supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at a Durham, NC facility. The position involves equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and documentation across process and utility systems in a regulated GMP environment.
What they're looking for
- Minimum 5 years plant maintenance experience with instrumentation, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems knowledge
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation systems preferred
- Clean room or GMP regulated manufacturing environment experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PLCs, CMMS systems, and technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics, blueprints)
- SAP and ProCal work order systems experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at height, and perform manual labor
What you'll be doing
- Perform equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and calibration on process and utility systems
- Develop SOPs, engineering change requests, preventative maintenance plans, and calibration procedures
- Manage SAP transactions, spare parts inventory, work orders, and equipment documentation
- Interface across departments and contractors to schedule maintenance and calibration activities
- Support on-call rotation during nights and weekends as needed for production support
