Role summary

Senior Electrical Engineer supporting the Cardiac Rhythm Management portfolio at Medtronic. Responsible for electrical design, development, and verification of implantable medical devices and external monitoring systems throughout all product development phases. Based in Mounds View, Minnesota with required onsite presence.

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years relevant experience, or Master's with 2+ years, or PhD
PCB design methodology experience with CAD tools and manufacturing processes
Ability to evaluate and debug electrical designs including RF performance
Class III medical device design, verification, and validation experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with ISO 14708 and/or IEC 60601 standards preferred
C/C++, LabVIEW, Python scripting, or MATLAB modeling experience preferred

What you'll be doing

Design, develop, analyze, and debug analog and digital circuitry for new medical devices
Integrate electronics, firmware, and mechanical designs into final implantable and external products
Develop production test requirements and support manufacturing test applications
Create and validate test procedures for electrical and product design characterization
Mentor junior-level engineers and support manufacturing sites
