Role summary
Baxter seeks a Senior Facilities Technician to maintain manufacturing equipment and systems at its Round Lake facility. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards in a pharmaceutical production environment.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certifications preferred
- 3+ years maintenance experience, or 2+ years with associate degree, or 1+ year with bachelor degree
- Experience with electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, motors, drives, and PLC systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical meters, and mechanical/electrical drawings
- CMMS experience (Maximo preferred) and strong troubleshooting skills
- FDA-regulated environment experience preferred; no penicillin/cephalosporin allergies or colorblindness
What you'll be doing
- Perform daily equipment checks and preventive maintenance activities following SOPs and GDP standards
- Troubleshoot and repair facility systems including boilers, compressors, stills, air handlers, and electrical equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance work and ensure compliance with safety requirements
- Lead by example in safe work practices and participate in continuous improvement projects
- Work with minimal supervision to manage equipment maintenance and facility upkeep
