Role summary

Merck seeks a Senior Specialist for Drug Product Operations to support commissioning, qualification, and start-up of a new small molecule manufacturing facility in Elkton, Virginia. What you'll be doing

  • Support commissioning, qualification, start-up, and operational readiness of the new DP small molecule facility
  • Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams on safe, compliant plant start-up
  • Provide technical and operational support during equipment start-up, troubleshooting, and process optimization
  • Define, implement, and improve operating practices, standard work, and procedures for reliable operations
  • Coordinate improvement activities using lean tools and MPS principles to identify efficiency opportunities
