Role summary
Avantor seeks a Senior Production Planner to develop weekly production schedules that balance capacity with customer demand and near-term requirements. - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
- 7+ years of production planning experience
- Familiarity with demand planning system features including best-fit analysis and class identification
- SAP and ERP system experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerBi
- Problem-solving training in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- APICS certification preferred
What you'll be doing
- Monitor demand and capacity to generate weekly schedules meeting customer requirements and resolving imbalances
- Collaborate with finished goods, material planning, operations, and quality teams to address constraints and opportunities
- Adjust production schedules to accommodate near-term customer orders that deviate from sales and operations planning
- Identify supply-demand imbalances and implement appropriate corrective responses
- Maintain capacity planning systems and leverage new product introduction plans into production schedules
