Role summary
Amgen seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to build relationships with clinicians and medical experts across Western North Carolina and South Carolina, focusing on rare disease areas NMOSD and gMG. - 2+ years medical science liaison experience in biotech or pharmaceutical setting
- Exceptional oral and written communication with strong networking ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business applications
- Willingness to travel up to 60% for territory management and conferences
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
What you'll be doing
- Establish and maintain relationships with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and managed care decision makers
- Communicate scientific, medical, and health economic information about products to medical community
- Identify and pair customer unmet needs with internal resources and solutions
- Recruit and train external speakers for sponsored scientific speaker programs
- Monitor competitive landscape for therapeutic trends and provide feedback to senior leadership
