Role summary

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for cell therapy in the Central US (Denver/Rochester territory). This field-based role involves building medical strategy, managing relationships with hematology thought leaders, and providing scientific support for the company's cell therapy pipeline in multiple myeloma.

What they're looking for

  • Advanced degree required: PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP in health science or clinical discipline

  • Experience supporting development or launch of pharmaceutical products in US
  • Proven ability to work across matrixed teams in Medical Affairs, Commercial, and R&D
  • 40-60% domestic travel capability by car, train, and plane
  • Direct cell therapy and/or multiple myeloma expertise preferred

What you'll be doing

  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with hematology and cell therapy thought leaders across academic and community centers
  • Engage multidisciplinary teams including hematologists, oncologists, pharmacists, and cell processing staff on disease state and clinical management
  • Respond to scientific and product information requests in compliance with company policy
  • Support implementation of cell therapy infusions by guiding healthcare providers through manufacturing processes and patient management
  • Gather regional insights and communicate findings to medical leadership to inform strategy and identify unmet needs
