Role summary
ResMed seeks a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead process optimization, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives for motor manufacturing in a 24/7 production environment. The role requires technical ownership of manufacturing processes, cross-functional collaboration, and regulatory compliance expertise.
What they're looking for
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems, or Biomedical Engineering
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and 24/7 production lines
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Proficiency with CAD software and statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP)
- Project management experience in collaborative, cross-functional environments
What you'll be doing
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, yield, throughput, and reliability
- Lead process validation activities, capability studies, DOE, and root cause investigations
- Author validation plans, control plans, and maintain regulatory documentation for audit readiness
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Product Development teams on process transfers and continuous improvement
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, including equipment upgrades and automation deployment
