Role summary
Bio-Techne seeks a Senior Equipment Technician in St. Paul, Minnesota to install, maintain, and repair complex capital and manufacturing equipment while training junior technicians and supporting departmental operations and vendor management.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5–8 years relevant experience; or associate degree with 3–5 years experience
- Class 2B Minnesota Boilers License or Special Engineer; prior boiler and steam system experience required
- Prior material handling equipment operation experience required
- Multi-trade proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Knowledge of complex equipment troubleshooting and building utility systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong problem-solving and mentoring skills
- Clean room experience and biotechnology equipment background preferred
What you'll be doing
- Install, maintain, repair, and inspect capital and manufacturing equipment with complex calibrations
- Coordinate maintenance on highly complex systems and steam plant operations
- Train and mentor Equipment Technicians; approve and assign work order requests
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, equipment documentation in the Regulatory Asset Manager system, and Building Automation System
- Investigate non-conformances, author SOPs, and implement process improvements
Compensation$27.20 - $37.40 per hour
