Role summary
Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Senior Director of Neuroscience Translational Pharmacology to lead preclinical pharmacology studies supporting the neuroscience discovery pipeline. The role oversees a team conducting translational research in neurodegenerative, neuromuscular, and neuropsychiatric disease programs, partnering across internal and external collaborators in Cambridge, MA.

- 8+ years of leadership and team management experience
- PhD preferred with 15+ years spanning small molecule, biotherapeutics, and genetic medicines discovery
- Experience leading drug discovery programs from concept through therapeutic candidate selection
- Expertise in genetically engineered animal models and neuropathological endpoint analysis
- Knowledge of blood-brain-barrier delivery technologies and external partnership management
What you'll be doing
- Manage and mentor a scientific team designing, executing, and interpreting in vivo pharmacology studies
- Oversee study design, data interpretation, and regulatory-compliant reporting across the neuroscience portfolio
- Establish transgenic and animal models to evaluate and select drug candidates for development
- Partner with translational medicine and clinical teams to align preclinical models with biomarker strategies
- Identify, oversee, and maintain relationships with academic collaborators and CRO partners
