Role summary

Profluent seeks a foundational scientist to design, formulate, and characterize targeted lipid nanoparticles for next-generation genetic medicines. The role spans formulation optimization, bioconjugation, analytical characterization, and in vitro/in vivo validation to achieve extrahepatic tissue targeting.

Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and quantitative cell-based assays (Flow Cytometry, reporter assays, ELISAs)
Understanding of systemic nanoparticle distribution, protein corona, vascular barriers, and in vivo study design

What you'll be doing

Design and execute tLNP formulations with nucleic acid payloads by systematically varying lipid ratios and helper components
Perform surface modifications and bioconjugation chemistries to attach targeting moieties to LNP surfaces
Execute LNP analytics including particle characterization, encapsulation efficiency, and degree of labeling quantification
Establish mammalian cell culture models and develop in vitro assays to evaluate targeting, uptake, and functional cargo translation
Design in vivo biodistribution and pharmacokinetic studies; analyze datasets to establish structure-activity relationships
