Role summary
Quality Inspector I position in medical device manufacturing responsible for visual inspection of labels, product components, and packaging. Incumbent will collect samples, evaluate against specifications, document findings, and authorize acceptance or rejection of production lots.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year quality inspection experience in FDA-regulated manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and written procedures in English
- Proficiency with measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and statistical process control concepts
- Capability to stand for extended periods throughout shift
- Heavy vehicle driver's license highly preferred
What you'll be doing
- Visually inspect labels, product identifiers, and pouches to approve or reject packaging operations
- Collect samples and measure against specifications using testing instruments and gauges
- Document inspection data and make accept/reject decisions based on compliance findings
- Maintain quality control records, shop order documentation, and control reports accurately
- Conduct spot audits in manufacturing areas and assist with training new QA inspectors
Compensation$10.50 - $13.46 USD hourly
