Role summary
Avantor seeks a Quality Control Lab Analyst to perform chemistry and microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products at a chemical manufacturing facility in Paris, Kentucky. The role operates Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm, and requires a science degree with laboratory experience.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology or related science discipline
- 1-3 years laboratory experience in related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Knowledge of wet chemistry techniques such as titrations and water content analysis
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred
- Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and equipment operation
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
What you'll be doing
- Conduct routine and non-routine chemistry and microbiological analysis of materials and products against specifications
- Operate laboratory instruments including pH, conductivity, UV, KF, FTIR, and titration equipment per established procedures
- Calculate data, verify compliance to specifications, and generate test reports
- Perform environmental monitoring duties including cleanroom sampling and surface collection
- Enter results and raw data into LIMS and maintain accurate documentation
