Role summary
AstraZeneca's Frederick Manufacturing Center seeks a Production Technician to operate biologic processing equipment on a rotating 12-hour night shift. The role involves equipment operation, cGMP documentation compliance, troubleshooting, and support of manufacturing operations in a 24/7 facility producing cancer and immunology medicines.

- 1–3 years pharmaceutical or biopharma manufacturing experience (depending on level)
- Knowledge of cGMP standards and regulated manufacturing processes
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
- Computer skills and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) proficiency
- Experience with aseptic techniques and bioprocessing equipment (desirable)
What you'll be doing
- Operate upstream, downstream, and central services processing equipment per SOPs and cGMP standards
- Perform solution preparation, cell culture, purification, formulation, and related activities
- Diagnose equipment issues, troubleshoot problems, and participate in root cause analysis
- Maintain cGMP documentation and complete work orders in MES systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support non-routine production floor activities
