Role summary
Production machinist role on third shift responsible for setting up CNC machines, monitoring product quality, and maintaining machining operations to company standards. Position may include additional tasks such as non-destructive testing, mass finishing, and polishing.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years CNC lathe and/or mill machining experience, or four semesters vocational training
- One year CNC experience with verified vocational or high school machine shop training
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators
- Ability to repeatedly lift 60 pounds
- Capability to perform machine setup and work in team-based cellular environment
What you'll be doing
- Setup CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers for product manufacturing
- Inspect and verify product quality meets company specifications
- Record production data via DPI terminal and maintain count documentation
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Perform additional cell support duties as assigned, including testing and finishing operations
