Role summary
Amgen seeks a Process Development Associate to support analytical characterization of protein therapeutics in early-phase development. - Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 2 years scientific experience, or high school diploma with 4 years scientific experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Molecular Biology
- 1+ years industrial analytical laboratory experience with protein therapeutic characterization
- Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis methods
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific presentation
- Proven collaborative teamwork ability with attention to detail and GDP compliance
What you'll be doing
- Generate, analyze, and critically evaluate analytical data from LC, CE, and mass spectrometry methods
- Support analytical method optimization, verification, and troubleshooting
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive tasks
- Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional partnerships across Pre-Pivotal Biologics programs
- Maintain analytical deliverables with accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation practices
