Role summary

Amgen seeks a Process Development Associate to support analytical characterization of protein therapeutics in early-phase development. What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 2 years scientific experience, or high school diploma with 4 years scientific experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Molecular Biology
  • 1+ years industrial analytical laboratory experience with protein therapeutic characterization
  • Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis methods
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific presentation
  • Proven collaborative teamwork ability with attention to detail and GDP compliance

What you'll be doing

  • Generate, analyze, and critically evaluate analytical data from LC, CE, and mass spectrometry methods
  • Support analytical method optimization, verification, and troubleshooting
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual, repetitive tasks
  • Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional partnerships across Pre-Pivotal Biologics programs
  • Maintain analytical deliverables with accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation practices
