Role summary

Principal Architect role responsible for designing and governing enterprise security operations technology architecture at a global life sciences company. Leads cross-functional teams to integrate security data pipelines, SIEM, SOAR, and detection systems while establishing enterprise-wide standards for visibility and automated response.

12+ years in cybersecurity, security architecture, engineering, operations, or detection engineering
Experience designing enterprise security operations architectures including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and data pipelines
Expertise establishing integration patterns across cyber and enterprise platforms using APIs and orchestration
Experience defining detection, logging, and telemetry standards at enterprise scale
Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related field (preferred)
Familiarity with platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR
Relevant security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, SABSA, or TOGAF (preferred)

What you'll be doing

Own end-to-end technology architecture and reference designs for security operations stack components
Establish integration patterns and designs for cyber and non-cyber technologies enabling investigation and automated response
Define enterprise detection, logging, and telemetry standards improving visibility and response consistency
Evaluate and guide implementation of security technologies enhancing detection, response, and measurable outcomes
Lead architecture alignment across security, infrastructure, cloud, identity, and vendor teams
