Role summary
Agilent seeks an Operational Excellence Leader to build and embed production systems across the nucleic acid manufacturing value stream at clinical-to-commercial scale. This role drives capacity through lean methodology, daily management, and structured problem-solving, working alongside site leadership with no direct reports across multiple facilities.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's or master's degree in life science, engineering, or biochemical engineering
- 10+ years in GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
- 8+ years hands-on lean accountability for process performance across manufacturing value stream
- Deep experience in chemical or pharmaceutical synthesis and GMP manufacturing
- Demonstrated expertise deploying and sustaining lean production systems
- Proficiency with MES, electronic batch records, and shop-floor data systems
What you'll be doing
- Own production-system build across full value stream from materials through release-readiness
- Build and sustain tiered daily management, visual performance boards, and KPI ownership at line level
- Charter and lead kaizen events to close gaps in yield, cycle time, and right-first-time execution
- Translate site objectives into floor-level priorities through strategy deployment and transformation scorecards
- Lead structured problem-solving and coach supervisors and operators in lean fundamentals and standard work
