Role summary

This field-based Medical Science Liaison role supports Amgen's obesity therapeutic program across the Pacific Northwest, including Washington, Oregon, and surrounding states. The position involves engaging with opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and population health decision makers to deliver scientific information, support clinical research, and advance patient outcomes. Reporting to an MSL Field Director, the liaison will conduct peer-to-peer exchanges, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute strategic insights to internal teams.

What they're looking for

  • Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
  • PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
  • 1+ years Medical Affairs experience
  • 4+ years medically related field experience including 1 year clinical practice, research, or post-doctoral training
  • 2+ years Medical Science Liaison role in biotech or pharmaceutical company
  • Cardiometabolic and/or obesity therapeutic expertise
  • Strong scientific communication and relationship-building skills with healthcare providers

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with obesity opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision makers
  • Engage with clinical investigators and research sites supporting obesity pipeline development
  • Present clinical, outcomes, and economic data to institutional decision makers within assigned healthcare networks
  • Support Amgen-sponsored research studies and liaise with non-sponsored clinical research investigators
  • Deliver field observations and scientific insights to internal teams to inform corporate strategy
