Role summary
Medical Science Liaison position supporting rare disease therapeutic areas (NMOSD and gMG) across Maryland, Delaware, DC, and Virginia. Role involves clinical education, field observations, and scientific engagement with healthcare providers and payers.
What they're looking for
- Doctorate degree, or Master's degree with 3+ years Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years Medical Affairs experience
- PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO preferred
- Two years proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Three or more years clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research experience
- Rare Disease therapeutic area expertise preferred
What you'll be doing
- Engage with healthcare partners to communicate clinical and scientific data aligned with company objectives
- Educate payers, providers, and partners on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data
- Develop and implement scientific engagement plans and local operational plans per annual MSL goals
- Provide field observations and insights to internal collaborators and support research initiatives
- Support speaker training, congress activities, and serve as mentor or trainer as assigned
