Merck seeks a credentialed Medical Science Liaison in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to engage scientific leaders in bidirectional knowledge exchange, support clinical research initiatives, and serve as a medical expert for the Southern-Midwest region. The director-level role bridges the scientific community and company to advance comprehension of therapeutic programs and company-sponsored studies.

PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD degree required
Three years of relevant Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology experience beyond terminal degree
Doctorate-level scientific discussions with external stakeholders
Comprehensive knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms
Excellent stakeholder management and scientific communication skills
Ability to travel up to 50% within Southern-Midwest territory

What you'll be doing

Develop professional relationships and conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with key scientific leaders
Address scientific inquiries and direct out-of-scope questions to appropriate company resources
Support investigator-sponsored research through scientific exchange and alignment assessment
Identify study sites, potential investigators, and enrollment barriers for clinical trials
Gather scientific insights and feedback to inform company understanding of medical needs
