Role summary
Manufacturing Technician I will perform electro-mechanical assembly of robotic surgical modules while maintaining medical device regulatory compliance. The role involves hands-on assembly, testing, quality verification, and documentation within a production environment supporting the OTTAVA Surgical Robotic Platform.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years manufacturing/assembly experience in medical devices or regulated industries
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) or FDA/ISO-regulated environments
- Proficiency with assembly tools: torque wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, multimeters, presses
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime and weekend shifts
- Vocational certificate or technical training preferred
- Experience with MES, SAP, or learning management systems preferred
- Exposure to robotics or surgical device assembly preferred
What you'll be doing
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly of robotic modules, joints, control modules, and cable harnesses following engineering documentation
- Conduct functional, electrical, and mechanical testing using calibrated tools and test fixtures
- Record assembly steps, inspection results, and test outcomes in MES, ERP/SAP, and electronic DHR systems
- Identify and escalate assembly or quality issues to senior technicians and engineering
- Prepare production lines through line clearance, material verification, and inventory management to prevent build interruptions
