Role summary
Amgen seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for its Puerto Rico facility to perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. - Associate's degree and 2 years maintenance experience, or equivalent technical training or high school diploma with 4 years experience
- Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, sensors, and low-voltage components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Hands-on experience with aseptic filling, autoclaves, washers, and related equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant computer applications
What you'll be doing
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment following SOPs and safety protocols
- Support equipment setup, disassembly, and changeover activities across production shifts
- Execute troubleshooting tasks, identify unusual conditions, and collaborate with peers and senior technicians
- Generate and complete work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Maintain cGMP compliance, complete required documentation, and communicate updates across shifts
