What they're looking for

  • Doctorate degree with 7+ years relevant experience, or Master's/MBBS with 10+ years in medical communications/publications, or Bachelor's with 10+ years experience
  • MD, PharmD, PhD, or DO with minimum 5+ years in medical and publications content development
  • Prior experience in medical affairs or clinical development within biopharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialization, regulatory guidelines, and publication standards (ICMJE, GPP Guidelines)
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategically in matrix environments with limited supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases
  • Ability to work effectively across global virtual teams with high initiative and self-motivation

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and deliver accurate, innovative scientific content (DSE, digital, MSL materials, FAQs) tailored to specific global audiences
  • Draft and deliver publications including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations for scientific congresses and journals
  • Address complex medical information inquiries and escalations; support payer interactions and compendia submissions
  • Manage workflows and approvals through appropriate processes; partner with Scientific Communications Operations on standardization and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with Amgen SOPs and external regulatory and legal guidelines
