Role summary
Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Manager, Manufacturing, Cell Therapy to lead a manufacturing team at its Leiden facility. The role combines hands-on floor presence with people leadership, overseeing safe, compliant production operations and developing direct reports in a cGMP cell therapy environment.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years cGMP cell therapy manufacturing, bioprocessing, or related experience
- Minimum 1 year team leadership or demonstrated technical/shift lead experience
- Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and manufacturing systems
- HBO (higher professional education) in science field or equivalent education and experience
- Experience with aseptic processing, cell expansion, cryopreservation, BSL-2/ML-1 environments preferred
- Ability to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays
What you'll be doing
- Lead direct reports through full people management cycle: onboarding, goal setting, performance management, coaching
- Plan and oversee daily manufacturing operations including schedule adherence, cycle time, and right-first-time execution
- Foster safety and quality culture; initiate deviations, conduct investigations, maintain GMP documentation
- Monitor performance data, identify improvement opportunities, lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on issue resolution, operational updates, and project delivery
