Role summary
This role manages maintenance and utilities operations at Amgen's biomanufacturing facility in North Carolina during construction and post-completion phases. The manager oversees a team of craft personnel across electricians, HVAC technicians, and utility operators on a night shift schedule (3pm–11pm), ensuring cGMP compliance, safety standards, and continuous operational support.

- Associate's degree plus 8 years manufacturing equipment maintenance
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years manufacturing equipment maintenance
- Master's degree plus 2 years manufacturing equipment maintenance
- Direct people management or team leadership experience
- Preferred: 2 years managerial experience managing personnel
What you'll be doing
- Lead diverse craft personnel including utility operators, electricians, and HVAC technicians
- Oversee startup and operational continuity of site utility systems and equipment
- Develop and implement maintenance programs ensuring cGMP compliance and safety standards
- Manage utility operations budgets and monitor preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance activities
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, safety, and manufacturing teams on facility initiatives
