Role summary
Maintenance technician position supporting equipment reliability and manufacturing operations at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Rhode Island. Role involves rotating night shifts with preventative and corrective maintenance responsibilities across production and laboratory systems.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma/GED plus 1 year utility operations, maintenance, or military experience, or Associate degree
- 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience with sanitary processing equipment (preferred)
- Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience in cGMP regulated manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Proficiency with CMMS software such as Maximo (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and equipment documentation
- Strong communication skills and teamwork capability
What you'll be doing
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on manufacturing and laboratory equipment
- Execute preventative and corrective maintenance tasks following established procedures and safety standards
- Diagnose equipment issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians when needed
- Complete work order documentation accurately in the computerized maintenance management system
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
