Role summary
This position involves performing general repairs and preventive maintenance on facility systems including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and refrigeration equipment across office, R&D, and manufacturing locations. The technician will manage work orders, conduct building inspections, respond to utility emergencies, and maintain GMP compliance. The role works Sunday–Wednesday nights (10 pm–8:30 am) and includes on-call coverage support.
What they're looking for
- Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical maintenance, or high school diploma with 2 years relevant experience
- 4+ years building maintenance, construction, or mechanical repair experience
- 4+ years operating hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and test equipment
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and safety documentation
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate facility management systems
- Physical capability to lift 40-75 pounds and work standing 75% of shift
What you'll be doing
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems
- Document work orders in CMMS system; conduct daily, weekly, and monthly facility inspections
- Respond to facility emergencies including power outages and system alarms per procedures
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate repairs with external vendors as needed
- Support GMP compliance, regulatory standards, and EHS requirements in documentation and operations
