Role summary
Baxter seeks a Maintenance Technician I for its Marion, North Carolina manufacturing facility to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on medical device production equipment. This salaried, non-exempt position works 12-hour night shifts and includes a $3,500 sign-on bonus.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years maintenance experience on automated manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency with electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and CMMS systems; Maximo preferred
- Experience with AC/DC motors, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in controlled environments with PPE requirements
- Fluent English communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations
What you'll be doing
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on IV solution filling and packaging equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using schematics, multi-meters, and other diagnostic equipment
- Respond to unscheduled maintenance and trouble calls in timely manner
- Document all maintenance activities in CMMS per Good Documentation Practices
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and equipment modifications
