Role summary

Amgen seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform electrical systems operation and maintenance at its Rhode Island manufacturing facility. This night-shift role (7pm-7am) involves troubleshooting, repair, and installation of power generation, distribution, and emergency systems, with 15% shift differential pay.

High school diploma or GED plus 1 year electrical/maintenance work experience, or associate degree
Rhode Island Journeyperson Electrician B License or equivalent (preferred)
5+ years electrical and utilities systems experience in industrial settings
Experience with industrial electrical generation and power distribution systems
Ability to interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment schematics
Proficiency with Maximo computerized maintenance management system
Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience (preferred)

What you'll be doing

Operate and maintain electrical power generation and distribution systems throughout the site
Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment and backup/emergency power systems
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on complex facility equipment and systems
Support operation and maintenance of building fire alarm systems including troubleshooting
Complete work order documentation accurately and communicate updates to operators and stakeholders
