Role summary
Permanent full-time maintenance engineer position at a Brisbane pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Responsible for first-line investigations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment, plant utilities, and facility systems in a GMP cleanroom environment.
What they're looking for
- Diploma, degree, or trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or automation
- 3+ years hands-on maintenance experience in pharmaceutical, hospital, or food processing
- Restricted electrical license strongly preferred
- Exposure to PLCs, BMS, SCADA, or industrial automation systems highly desirable
- Experience with HVAC, steam, and compressed air plant utilities
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding diagnostic skills
- Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
What you'll be doing
- Maintain technical manufacturing equipment, plant utilities, and facility systems in GMP cleanroom
- Perform planned preventive maintenance, routine monitoring, and corrective maintenance activities
- Respond to BMS alarms and equipment breakdowns; conduct fault-finding across mechanical, electrical, automation systems
- Participate in engineering investigations, root cause analysis, and FMEA continuous improvement activities
- Coordinate maintenance work safely and efficiently with production, laboratory, and contractor teams
