What you'll be doing

Prepare and introduce biological specimens for accurate processing and analysis
Open specimens, transfer contents, and verify patient information against requisition forms
Enter patient demographic data into computer tracking systems
Route specimens to appropriate staging areas and coordinate shipment to testing facilities
Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste; document problem specimens and maintain safety compliance
