Role summary

Medtronic seeks a Hardware Systems Lead to provide technical oversight for medical device development programs spanning electronics, firmware, mechanical design, and RF communications. The role integrates cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complex products meeting performance, manufacturability, quality, and regulatory standards.

Experience performing system-level verification, validation, and technical risk management
Ability to translate product requirements into subsystem specifications and design decisions
Preferred: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Experience with RF design, wireless communications, and antenna integration

What you'll be doing

Define and maintain product system architecture across electronics, firmware, mechanical subsystems, and software interfaces
Translate user, product, and business requirements into system specifications while managing technical and cost tradeoffs
Lead technical analyses involving power consumption, RF performance, component selection, manufacturability, and reliability
Coordinate PCB, firmware, antenna, enclosure, and subsystem integration development activities
Drive system integration, design reviews, risk management, and validation readiness assessments
