Zifo seeks a Lab Computing Analyst to provide consulting and technical support for laboratory instrument systems and IT infrastructure at a North Chicago pharmaceutical client site. The role combines requirements management, vendor evaluation, IT troubleshooting, and compliance support in a regulated environment.

What they're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, or chemical engineering
At least 3 years of directly relevant IT experience including software development and business requirements analysis
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex instrument and technology systems
Excellent customer service, oral, and written communication abilities
In-depth domain knowledge of at least one bio/pharma area such as drug development, lab workflows, or sample management
Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and GLP/regulatory standards
Ability to manage multiple projects and track tasks simultaneously

What you'll be doing

Analyze customer needs and gaps to propose IT and lab solutions aligned with industry best practices
Provide onsite break/fix technical support for instrument-connected systems and implement security policies
Conduct requirements management and validation/compliance activities including IOPQ support
Evaluate vendor solutions and recommend process improvements based on business needs and industry trends
Serve as liaison between internal teams, lab owners, and third parties; coordinate schedules and provide status reporting
