Role summary

SCIEX seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair mass spectrometry and analytical instrumentation at customer sites across Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. The role involves independent troubleshooting, customer support, and mentoring junior technicians while working remotely.

What they're looking for

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent technical certification
Minimum 5 years experience with LCMS and/or capillary electrophoresis instrumentation
Prior experience servicing mass spectrometry or scientific instrumentation
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, and standing
Meet vendor credentialing requirements
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% overnight

What you'll be doing

Perform high-quality installation, repair, and maintenance on mass spectrometers, HPLC, and capillary electrophoresis systems
Conduct system qualification services and provide customer training at strategic accounts
Resolve technical and customer issues independently across assigned territory
Complete administrative tasks including service logging, expense reporting, and inventory management
Mentor and develop less experienced field service staff members

Compensation$36.05–$39.00 hourly, plus bonus/incentive pay eligible
