Role summary
Agilent seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair support for security and detection systems at airports and government facilities. The role involves 4-5 days per week of field work across aviation customers in the Atlanta area.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in physical science, engineering, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience as service technician, process engineer, or customer-facing field role
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for customer site access
- Valid US passport and current driver's license
- Capacity to travel up to 75% overnight
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer management skills
- Spectroscopy experience highly desirable
What you'll be doing
- Diagnose and resolve product performance issues for security detection equipment
- Install, implement, and maintain hardware, software, and networking systems on-site
- Advise customers on preventive maintenance and system configurations
- Escalate technical issues and collaborate with internal support, sales, and R&D teams
- Deliver training seminars and calibrate equipment for customers as needed
Compensation$43.12 - $67.37/hr plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
