Amgen seeks a Field Director to lead and manage a regional Medical Science Liaisons team covering the Northeast. Doctorate degree with 4+ years medical affairs experience, OR master's degree with 8+ years, OR bachelor's degree with 10+ years
4+ years managerial experience directly managing people or leading teams and projects
Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred
7+ years industry experience in scientific/medical affairs at biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred
3+ years experience as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical setting preferred
7+ years in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research preferred

What you'll be doing

Provide strategic direction and oversight to regional MSL team aligned with corporate goals
Coach and develop MSL staff through performance feedback and training needs identification
Partner with medical leadership to develop field medical strategy, tactics, and scientific engagement plans
Oversee peer-to-peer scientific engagement with opinion leaders and population health decision makers
Represent the MSL team to senior leadership and ensure cross-functional collaboration across Amgen
