Role summary
Baxter seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician for overnight shifts at its Round Lake manufacturing facility. The role involves maintaining critical building systems, utility equipment, and performing preventive maintenance to support uninterrupted pharmaceutical production operations.
What they're looking for
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certifications preferred
- 3+ years maintenance experience with building systems and equipment
- Proficiency with electrical systems up to 480V, AC/DC motors, and PLC systems
- Experience reading mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
- CMMS experience, preferably Maximo software
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- FDA-regulated environment experience preferred; not allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin
What you'll be doing
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility and utility equipment serving manufacturing areas
- Monitor building systems and alarms to identify and address issues before operational impact
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain boilers, compressors, air handlers, motors, and electrical systems
- Document all maintenance activities following Good Documentation Practices and maintain accurate records
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades
