Medtronic seeks an Engineering Technician V to support manufacturing process development for implantable medical devices in the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health division. What they're looking for

  • 7+ years hands-on technical experience in manufacturing, engineering development, or precision assembly environments
  • Proven ability troubleshooting and improving manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and electromechanical systems
  • Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation; using measurement and fabrication tools
  • Experience collecting, documenting, and communicating build, process, or experimental data
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Technical, Associate degree, or apprenticeship with relevant experience preferred
  • Experience with implantable medical devices, precision assemblies, or high-reliability manufacturing environments preferred

What you'll be doing

  • Support development and execution of precision assembly and manufacturing processes for implantable medical device components
  • Prototype, build, test, troubleshoot, and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods with engineers
  • Execute engineering builds and feasibility studies including material coordination, data collection, and results documentation
  • Develop and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing solutions to improve process performance and repeatability
  • Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing partners on pilot builds, process transfers, and training activities
