Role summary
Merck seeks an experienced electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in New Jersey. The role involves working with high and low voltage systems, facility infrastructure, and industrial controls under general supervision.

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school certification
- 5+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in industrial electrical installation and repair
- Proficiency reading wiring diagrams, schematics, CAD drawings, and blueprints
- Knowledge of electrical motors, controls, transformers, and National Electric Code
- Ability to lift, bend, and safely operate hand and power tools with minimal supervision
What you'll be doing
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical services and equipment using proper materials and methods
- Service high and low voltage systems including transformers, VFDs, UPS units, ATSs, and emergency generators
- Work from technical drawings and verbal instructions to complete electrical tasks
- Maintain workplace safety by adhering to regulations and reporting hazardous conditions
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and test instruments in good working condition
Compensation$39.59-$49.21 per hour
